Payment where it belongs

Tap at the window.
Order from the stands.

ConcessionStand.ai does not ask a school to hand over card data or share one payment login. Each organization connects its own Zeffy API key and campaign. Cashiers use individual Zeffy Tap to Pay logins on compatible phones, while the portal reconciles payment records with games, products, inventory, operators, and customer pickup.

School-owned credentials

An Athletic Director or Booster Club administrator creates the Zeffy organization and campaigns, generates an API key, and verifies it during onboarding. The API key is encrypted on the server and scoped to that school. Each school has a unique webhook route and campaign mapping.

Fast Tap to Pay for the selling window

Each adult seller uses a separate restricted Zeffy user on a compatible phone. Buyer details can remain optional when the Zeffy form is configured for fast in-person transactions. The counter iPad stays focused on opening, inventory, volunteers, orders, and closeout.

A controlled QR ordering launch

Administrators configure the hosted Zeffy store URL, pickup workflow, queue limit, warning times, closing cutoff, staffing, signage, and test checks before public ordering can open. Fans scan the school’s QR, pay on Zeffy, and bring the pickup reference to the window.

Exceptions stay visible

An unmatched campaign, missing pickup reference, unmapped product, prohibited payment type, refund, or payment outside a clear game window becomes a review item. The portal never silently guesses which game or inventory movement should receive a questionable transaction.

What the system preserves

Simple at the counter.
Serious underneath.

Teen-simple workflows can still create adult-grade records when the logic is designed around the event.

01

No card data

Customers pay on Zeffy-hosted or Zeffy mobile payment surfaces.

02

Individual users

Temporary adult sellers use separate restricted payment access.

03

Activation gates

QR ordering cannot open until operations are actually ready.

04

Exception review

Ambiguous payments are held for an adult decision.

Straight answers

Common questions

Does ConcessionStand.ai include payment processing?

It coordinates and reconciles payment data from a connected provider. For the current implementation, Zeffy processes Tap to Pay and hosted customer checkout.

Can Tap to Pay run on an iPad?

No. Zeffy states that Tap to Pay requires a compatible NFC phone. The iPad runs the concession operations portal behind the counter.

Can customers order without downloading an app?

Yes. The planned customer flow uses a QR code to open the school’s hosted ordering page in the phone browser.
